Even though cinemas have gradually started to open up, people are still reluctant to head out to areas with large groups of people in them. Nevertheless, our love for cinema remains, and so Disney Plus GroupWatch is a unique feature that allows you to connect with your friends and family across the globe all the while watching your favorite movies and TV shows.

You will be able to enjoy all of your binge-worthy Disney content, just like good old times.

In this article, we will be highlighting everything that you need to know about Disney Plus GroupWatch so that you can have get-togethers with your BFFs, all in the virtual space.

Disney Plus GroupWatch: What is it, and how does it work?

The advent of COVID-19 has made it very difficult for people to enjoy indoor activities with their loved ones without risking their safety. Even common leisure activities like watching movies or sports in groups have become impossible, and that’s obviously frustrating.

However, thanks to the Disney Plus GroupWatch feature, you can safely resume movie nights without worrying about your and your loved ones’ safety. GroupWatch is a smart feature that lets you synchronize your list of films or Tv series on Disney Plus, allowing up to seven people to view them together simultaneously.

Here’s how it works:

A host selects a film or TV series to watch. Later a GroupWatch link is generated that the host shares with their friends and family. Once everyone accepts the invitation, the streaming begins with the playback experience controlled in real-time by anyone in the GroupWatch.

So if you have to run for a quick pee break, or your friends are running low on popcorn, any of them can pause or resume the stream as well skip ahead as they please.

Disney GroupWatch has a unique emoji-based function that allows you to express yourself in a different ways. You can send funny, sad, scared, angry, and surprised emojis. It’s unlike the chat function of Netflix’s Telepathy. As soon as you select the emoji, it temporarily appears on the left-hand side of the screen along with the participant’s profile name.

This feature is only available for Disney Plus subscribers. For instance, if you get an invite to attend your friend’s marathon to watch the Marvel series, you’ll have to register on the platform first.

You can create an International GroupWatch, the only limitation would be that you will not be able to access the same content in all countries, unless you’re subscribed to the best VPNs for Disney Plus.

So without further ado, let’s dive into how we can use this neat feature to watch our favorite titles with our favorite people from around the world.
