Method 1- Minimum Requirements

  1. Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or System on a Chip (SoC)
  2. RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit, 2 GB for 64-bit
  3. Hard drive space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS / 32 GB for 64-bit OS
  4. Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
  5. Display: 800×600

Microsoft has a windows compatibility checker it is known as Update Assistant or the Media Creation Tool. This compatibility checker tells you, is your system is suitable for windows 10 operating system? If your system is suitable then it will install it as well.

Method 2- Windows 10 Compatibility Appraiser

Step 1:- Open search bar.

Step 2:- Search for CMD.

Step 3:- Right-click on cmd and select run as administrator.

Step 4:- Type the command – SCHTASKS /Run /TN “Microsoft\Windows\Applicaton Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser”

Step 5:- Press enter.

This will take 10 to 15 minutes for the whole process and after that, if your system will do not support windows 10 then it will say  “Windows 10 will not run on.” By this, you will be able to know if your system is eligible for the upgrade or not.

Method 3- Windows Update Assistant

Step 1- First of all look for the windows logo on the right-hand side of the taskbar.

Step 2- Now click on the windows logo. Click on the “Check your Upgrade Status” option.

Step 3- Now a window will open. Click on the three horizontal lines on the upper left corner of the window.

Step 4- Next,  click on the check your PC option.

Step 5- The Update assistant will check your PC for a potential compatibility issue.

Step 6-  If there are some issues the assistant will tell you what are the issues. And if not then you can install Windows 10 via the assistant.
