Could Not Connect to Steam Network – Fix
Sometimes it failed to connect to the steam network even though I’ve got a normal internet connection. In that case, try to reinstall steam client on your Windows PC/Laptop.
There is a problem with your steam client (Could not connect to a steam network). You will face the error even after deleting everything and reinstalling.
Method 1: Reinstall Stream Client
Step 1: Go to Control Panel > Programs and then uninstall Steam Client. Reboot your PC and then download and install the latest version of Steam Client.
Step 2: Install all the Windows Updates
Step 3: Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update. Check for all the available Windows updates and make sure that all updates are installed.
Method 3: Change the Internet protocol
Steam uses an Internet protocol called UDP but sometimes changes it to TCP can fix the issue.
Right click the Steam shortcut > Properties.
This will open a Target text box, add “-TCP” to the end > OK.
Now launch Steam again and see if it is working fine or not.
Method 4: Troubleshoot network
Open cmd with admin rights and type following commands one by one and press Enter.
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /all
- ipconfig /flushdns
- ipconfig /renew
- netsh int ip set dns
- netsh winsock reset
Reboot the computer and launch Steam client.
Method 3: Reinstall Steam Client
Download and install latest steam drivers for Windows 10.
