BMI (body mass index) is an indirect measure of body fat based on a person’s height and weight.
An easy way to determine thinness and excessive fatness is to figure out your body mass index, or BMI. The higher your BMI, the greater your risk of certain conditions, such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. To find your BMI, type in your height and weight, then click on “submit.”
