I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March. Had surgery in May and went through radiation treatments for 6 1/2 weeks beginning in June through July. I have met so many people who are survivors. I have a couple of friends who are survivors so I knew that I would be one. I was shocked since breast cancer does not run in my family. I am the first.... I have a great core of friends who have been behind me and this has helped me stay focused

I just read that a study trial is going to be conducted the hypothesis being that the bacteria of your gut can reduce your exposure to estrogen which can increase your risk of breast cancer. I'm confused, the Womans Health Initive Study showed that estrogen protected you and reduced your risk of breast cancer. Has that been proven wrong?

Having breast cancer opens your eyes to a whole new world.I had a great bunch of warm tender caring techs ,nurses, doctors ,assistants family , friends, and co-workers who made my journey through this so much better. I thank my wonderful support system for being so wonderful. So don't forget the caregivers, with their support they make alot of things possible.

I have been out of treatment for a year and a half and a good prognosis. I am willing to help out, so that others might not have to go through what I did. Come on..................... join the "ARMY"
