    Laws that require proof of annual rabies vaccinations with a drug that has a duration of 7 years can damage sick or senior dogs, cats and ferrets.

    We urge lawmakers nationwide to grant a medical exemption from rabies shots for companion animals in acute or chronic illness or with a history of adverse reactions to the rabies vaccine.
