Why is my pool pump pressure so high?

My pool pump pressure seems unreasonably high. The pressure gauge on the filter indicates about 22 psi normally and 28 psi when running the solar. I have a 4.9 sq foot sand filter. The pressure doesn’t change by more than one psi after backwashing. On Read more…
