To get your widgets to install to any social network (Hyves, Cafemom, etc.), blogging site, personal site, etc., the site must first support Flash or JavaScript. If this is the case, click the "Get Widget Code" option when placing the widget. Depending on what the site supports, you'll want to copy the appropriate code snippet. The first is JavaScript and the second is Flash. If you need help on where to paste the code, please contact support for the site that you're installing the widget for further instructions.
To delete a widget from any site that you installed code to, either manually or via one of our installers, just delete the code that you inserted. For example, on Myspace, you'd go to your profile edit page, find the section of the profile where your widget is displayed, and delete all of the code for the widget.
The majority of these issues that you'll see with a specific widget can be resolved by the widget developer. Generally, when we receive these issues, we'll forward them to the developer with whatever info that we have. You're always welcome to contact the developer directly. On the widget details page, just click the developer's name. Often times, widgets will stop working when they are relying on outside dependancies that are no longer available.

To browse and develop on Widgetbox, you need a modern web browser with JavaScript turned on (we officially support IE 6 or later on Windows, Firefox 1.5 or later on Mac, Windows, Linux, and Safari 2.0 or later on Mac). We do not support IE 5.x on Windows or Mac.
For people to view widgets, they must have the same sort of browser. In addition, a widget's developer might have used advanced JavaScript techniques, Flash, Java applets, and so on. Widgetbox can't predict compatibility of each widget.
If JavaScript is not enabled, a visitor will not see a widget or error message. No space will be taken up.
9 times out of 10, the issue here is with the feed being used, not the blidget. If something isn't working properly (no feeds, images aren't appearing, links are wrong, etc.) in your blidget, open the feed URL in your browser and make sure that everything is working properly there. If not, you may need to reconfigure your feed.
All of our widgets are web widgets, therefore they have to be installed somewhere via HTML that supports Flash or JavaScript. To install anywhere on the web that supports this, just hit our "Get Widget" button and select the right installer for you. Keep in mind, some widgets are JavaScript only, depending on how they were developed.
If you want to use Widgetbox widgets on your desktop, however, you should check out Amnesty Widgets as a possible solution, although this product is not related to Widgetbox.
If this happens, please refresh the page and even re-start your browser if needed. Generally, this issue is user-based and browser-related. If you still have trouble, just let us know!
