I am a graduate of the Masters of Library and Information Science program at San Jose State University where I held the position of Co-chair and Web-coordinator of the American Libraries Association (Student Chapter). Upon graduation I began work as a Library Coordinator (branch manager) of a joint-use Library in Lincoln California. This library is only the second library to be built in this community since the construction of the Carnegie library in 1909. The new library was completed and held its grand opening on October 20th 2007. Throughout its construction and subsequent completion I was granted the opportunity to take part in the development of not only a joint-use library (High school, Community College and Public Library), but also the beginnings of the development of a library system. I now am now responsible for the hiring, training, and scheduling of employees as well as the design and maintenance of the library website and various library programs, budgets, and promotions. In an effort to continue my passion for the creation and support of Libraries worldwide I am director of a California non-profit organization that originally was developed to promote coastal conservation through the establishment of libraries and schools in coastal communities. However, currently we are undergoing a restructuring to supply coastal educational organizations with a green source of educational materials.
