GCrypt wanted to produce a solution where neither the sender or the recipient were required to buy their own secure certificates or exchange their public keys to encrypt and subsequently decrypt email messages. In response to this GCrypt developed their SSLPost solution. SSLPost is a web centric PKI solution that allows senders and recipients of sensitive data to send and receive secure emails without the need to purchase their own secure certificates to generate encryptions keys. To use SSLPost all both parties require is a valid email address, access to a web browser and their SSLPost password. The SSLPost software that is now available is at the cutting edge of the secure email industry in terms of its ease of use, security, audit trail integrity and encryption methodologies.
